Youth Athletics Program

Georgetown Parks and Recreation offers one co-rec youth basketball league each year. Play begins in January and is designed to be an educational, fun, healthy experience for youth in grades Pre K - 7th. In order to participate in the 2009 season, players must be four years of age on or before January 10, 2009. The program lasts for ten weeks and is held on Saturday's only. The first two Saturdays are practices and the last eight Saturdays are games. Held at the Georgetown Recreation Center located at 1003 N. Austin Ave. Fees are $30/Resident and $40/Non Resident. Georgetown Parks and Recreation offers a spring and a fall co-rec youth soccer league each year. The spring season begins in April and the fall season begins in September. In order to participate in the Spring 208 season, players must be four years of age on or before March 29, 2008. This league is designed to be an educational, fun, healthy experience for youth in grades Pre K - 8th. This ten week program is held on Saturdays only at the soccer fields adjacent to the Georgetown Recreation Center on Austin Avenue. Georgetown Parks and Recreation offers a fall co-rec youth soccer league for special needs youth each year. This league will accept a wide variety of youth including those that use wheelchairs and/or need assistance from an adult or sibling. The fall season begins in September. In order to participate in the Fall season, players must be four years of age no later than September 15, 2007. This league is designed to be an educational, fun, healthy experience for youth in Pre K - 8th grade. This ten week program is held on Saturdays only at the soccer fields adjacent to the Georgetown Recreation Center on Austin Avenue. Georgetown Parks and Recreation offers a fall co-rec youth flag football league each year. The season begins in September. In order to participate in the Fall 2007 season, players must be nine years of age on or before September 15, 2007. This league is designed to be an educational, fun, healthy experience for the youths ages 9 - 12. This ten week program is held on Saturdays only on the football field at the McMaster Athletic Complex. The first two Saturdays are practices and the last eight Saturdays are games. Fees are $50R/$60NR per person.

Georgetown Parks and Recreation offers one co-rec youth kickball league each year. Play begins in July and is designed to be an educational, fun, healthy experience for youth ages 8 - 13. In order to participate in the 2008 season, players must be 8 - 13 years of age as of July 1, 2008. The program lasts five weeks and is held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. The first two days are practices and the last eight days are games. Youth Kickball is held at the VFW Fields, located at the corner of College and Second streets. Fees are $20/Resident and $25/Non Resident.
