Special Needs Dances

Hawaiin Luau

Join us Friday, April 18th from 6pm to 8pm for the Georgetown Parks & Recreation Luau. Come enjoy the Hawaiian Luau atmosphere and feel free to wear your favorite Hawaiian attire.

The dance will be at the Georgetown Recreation Center, 1003 N. Austin Ave. There will be food, dancing and prizes! Admission is $3*

*A caregiver or family member must be present with the participant at ALL times. Admission for the caregiver/family member is free.

    • Halloween Special Needs Costume Party & Dance

    On Oct. 19th close to 200 people attended the Halloween Special Needs Costume Party & Dance. The dance was Halloween-themed and dressing up in a costume was encouraged. Awards and gift certificates were given out for most creative, scariest, most original, and most bizarre costume.

    There were Halloween themed games for them to play: Mummy Wrap, Pin the Wart on the Witch, Pick a Halloween Duck, Pumpkin Beanbag Toss, and Candy Corn Game. Prizes were given to every individual who participated in each of the games.

    With admission, participants were given free food, beverages, a goody bag with coupons and candy inside, as well as a raffle ticket. In the raffle drawing, participants could win anything from Halloween themed gift baskets to gift certificates.

    This event would not have been possible if not for all of our wonderful volunteers and the outpouring of support from local businesses.

    Valentine Dance

    Join us February 13th from 6pm to 8pm for the Georgetown Parks & Recreation Valentine Dance. Whether you come as a pair or one, you'll find there is no greater fun. So start looking in your closet for that formal or red outfit!
