COVID-19: Outdoor Athletic Facility Rental Guidelines

Starting June 1:

The Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department will reopen its outdoor athletic facilities for rentals. This includes the McMaster Athletic Complex, VFW Softball Park, San Gabriel Baseball Field, San Gabriel Multipurpose Field, and San Gabriel Soccer Fields.

Youth

  • Practice only reservations will be accepted.
  • Participants in practice groups and spectators must always practice 6 ft social distancing.
  • All parents and/or spectators should avoid being in a group larger than 10 individuals. Within these groups, individuals should, to the extent possible, minimize in-person contact with others.
  • Only one parent or guardian permitted per participant.
  • Practice supervisors will mitigate environmental exposures by additional cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and high touch areas within the facility.
  • Consistent with the actions taken by many organizations across the state, coaches, volunteers, and spectators are encouraged to wear cloth face coverings.
  • Handwashing or hand sanitizing must take place before and after activity.

Starting June 15:

Rentals for both youth and adult games will now be permitted.

Youth

  • All parents and/or spectators should avoid being in a group larger than 10 individuals. Within these groups, individuals should, to the extent possible, minimize in-person contact with others.
  • Game supervisors will mitigate environmental exposures by additional cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and high touch areas within the facility.
  • Consistent with the actions taken by many organizations across the state, coaches, volunteers, and spectators are encouraged to wear cloth face coverings.
  • Handwashing or hand sanitizing must take place before and after the competition.

Adult

  • All spectators should avoid being in a group larger than 10 individuals. Within these groups, individuals should, to the extent possible, minimize in-person contact with others.
  • Minimizing in-person contact includes maintaining 6 feet of separation from individuals.
  • Game supervisors should mitigate environmental exposures by additional cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and high touch areas within the facility.
  • Consistent with the actions taken by many organizations across the state, consider having all coaches, volunteers, officials, and inactive players wear cloth face coverings.
  • Handwashing or hand sanitizing must take place before and after the competition.
  • It is encouraged to have someone dedicated to washing and sanitizing equipment regularly throughout the course of the competition. High touch areas must be washed, and hands must be sanitized frequently.
  • Avoid sharing utensils or other common objects.
  • Playing field area must not exceed 22 participants at a given time.
