Fall into fitness

Fall into fitness with Georgetown Parks and Recreation! Fall classes start in September and the first day of the class is FREE!

These classes require a single ticket:

  • One Ticket: $5 Resident/$8 Nonresident
  • 4-Ticket Punch Pass: $15 Resident/$25 Nonresident
  • 10-Ticket Punch Pass: $35 Resident/$45 Nonresident

Teen Power Yoga
Easy to follow yoga postures to help improve balance, flexibility and strength. Yoga can be beneficial for teens involved in all sports and dance. Even if you are not doing a sports activity you will can benefit from yoga as a fun and relaxing fitness class. Benefits from Yoga can include: help reduce muscle tension, improve sleep, decrease risk of sports injuries, help speed recovery from injuries and improve clarity of thought.

The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you’ve got a Zumba® class!  Come dressed in comfortable fitness attire that’s easy to move in and closed-toe, athletic shoes w/low tread. A dance sneaker is recommended.  Students should also bring water and a towel.

Foam Roller Recovery Stretch
A stretching class using a foam roller to learn self-myofascial release techniques for muscle recovery. You will learn how to use your own body weight to message muscle tightness and soreness. Benefits of using a foam roller include: increased flexibility, injury reduction, improved range of motion and overall fitness performance.

High Fitness
Recharge with this high energy, body sculpting fun! Moves are strong, easy-to-follow choreography to music of all genres that you know and love. Concentrated full body toning along with plyometric type interval training will sculpt your entire body.
