Garey Park Master Plan

A master plan for Garey Park was completed in May 2006. This master plan was a culmination of considerable input from the public and the Garey family to define the vision for future park development and programming. However, plans such as this are typically conceptual but do assist in providing a framework for future planning and development activities. The City of Georgetown began design of the park in 2014 utilizing the existing framework. The final design is based on the actual capabilities of development due to topographical, vegetative, and drainage constraints. In addition, some amenities in the master plan were deferred due to funding. They will be considered for construction at a future date.
