Georgetown Parks and Recreation announces holiday camps
Georgetown Parks and Recreation will offer camps for students during the Georgetown ISD holiday breaks. Pricing and schedules vary for each program.
Participants can select from three camps:
- Camp Goodwater is offered on Oct. 11, Oct. 14, Nov. 25-27, Dec. 26-27, Dec. 30-31, Jan. 2-3, Jan. 6 and Feb. 17-18. The camp runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., with drop off beginning at 7:45 a.m. and pick up lasting under 5:15 p.m. Camp Goodwater is for children ages 5-10. The camp includes a variety of activities, such as gym games, trips to local parks, seasonal arts and crafts, and more! Daily fees are $35 for Georgetown residents and $45 for nonresidents.
- Adventure Camps are offered on Nov. 25 (Reimer’s Ranch Rock Climbing) and Nov. 26 (Whirlpool Caving) for ages 11-14. Daily fees are $45 for Georgetown residents and $55 for nonresidents.
- Volleyball Camp is offered from Nov. 25-26 and Jan. 2-3 from 9 a.m.-noon for children ages 8-13. The Skills Camp will cover rules of play and how to rotate, as well as basic skills such as forearm passing, setting, spiking, and serving. For more experienced players, we will also cover defense and positions. All levels will learn how to communicate well and what it takes to be a good teammate! Fees are $55 for Georgetown residents and $75 for nonresidents.
- Holiday Junior Tennis Academy is offered on Dec. 30-31 and Jan. 2-3 for children ages 12-18. The camp runs from 10 a.m.-noon each day and fees are $20 for Georgetown residents and $25 for nonresidents each day.
