Membership extensions/cancellations in response to COVID-19
As of Monday, March 16 at 6 p.m., our Recreation and Tennis Centers are closed to the public until at least May 11, with the possibility of the closure lasting longer.
This difficult decision was made in accordance with the guidelines from elected officials and public health authorities and coupled with other considerations including the safety of our members and staff as the COVID-19 circumstances continue to unfold.
In light of this, we ask that you continue your membership and we will extend your membership for the duration of the closure. We understand that you may wish to cancel your membership. We have two options for cancellations: you may request an account credit to be used for future membership or programs, or we can issue you a refund.
Option 1) Your membership will be extended for the duration of the closure, no action on your part is necessary.
Option 2) If you prefer to request a credit or refund you may do so by completing this Request to Cancel Membership form. Please submit this form by April 15.
Individuals requesting credits– A prorated credit based on the days remaining in the membership as of March 17 will be applied to your Parks and Recreation account and can be used at a future date.
Individuals requesting a refund– You will be contacted by a Parks and Recreation representative to process your refund. The refund will be prorated based on the days remaining in the membership as of March 17.
- If your membership was paid via credit card – refunds can only be issued to the original method of payment. Please be prepared to provide the credit card information for verification purposes.
- If your membership was paid via check – refunds will be made via check and could take 5-6 weeks to process
- If your membership was paid via cash – refunds will be made via check and could take 5-6 weeks to process
If you have immediate questions while the facilities are closed, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. Both facilities will be staffed for answering phones and responding to emails from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. These facilities are closed to the public and will not be accepting in-person questions or transactions.
