Modifications to the South San Gabriel Trail to begin Monday, Oct. 2; sections closed during construction
Georgetown Parks and Recreation will begin modifications to the South San Gabriel Trail beginning the week of Oct. 2. The purpose of the work will be to bring the trail into compliance with accessibility standards.
The project will span from the pedestrian bridge at VFW Park to the parking lot at Blue Hole Park, and includes the trail access point at 2nd St. Concrete trail sections will be removed and replaced. The trail will not be passable during construction. The public is requested to avoid this section of the trail throughout the construction process, which will be completed by mid-November, pending weather delays.
