New fitness classes begin in June

Georgetown Parks and Recreation is offering four new fee-based group fitness classes this summer. All classes start in June and the first date of class is FREE!

These classes require a single ticket:

  • One Ticket: $5 Resident/$8 Nonresident
  • 4-Ticket Punch Pass: $15 Resident/$25 Nonresident
  • 10-Ticket Punch Pass: $35 Resident/$45 Nonresident

 

POP Pilates®
POP Pilates is an incredible fusion of ab-chiseling and total body defining moves choreographed to your favorite Top 40 hits. This intense, mat-based workout challenges students to rhythmically flow from one exercise to the next, developing a rock solid core while leaving no muscle untouched. This format takes classical Pilates to the next level like you’ve never seen before.

Zumba®
The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you’ve got a Zumba® class!  Come dressed in comfortable fitness attire that’s easy to move in and closed-toe, athletic shoes w/low tread. A dance sneaker is recommended.  Students should also bring water and a towel.

Sunrise Yoga Flow
Join this advanced yoga flow class with a blending of yoga sculpt movements and power flow asanas, finishing with breath work and meditation. Class will meet on the Outdoor Pool Deck to enjoy the sunrise.

High Fitness
Recharge with this high energy, body sculpting fun! Moves are strong, easy-to-follow choreography to music of all genres that you know and love. Concentrated full body toning along with plyometric type interval training will sculpt your entire body.
