With Mr. Jones and Ms. Wilde

The School of Eight Directions is an independent martial arts school where the senior members instruct the junior members in an ancient tradition of continuously flowing, interchangeable and versatile techniques.

The methods are derived from various systems of karate and jujitsu designed to give the student comprehensive skills at all ranges, from kicking and punching to grappling and ground fighting. Practicing these skills promotes health and well-being and provides an effective means of self-defense.

The goals of the program are:

  • To provide reliable self-defense skills
  • To help students attain strength, fitness and coordination
  • To instill self-discipline and perseverance
  • To foster a sense of propriety and virtue
  • To maintain a supportive and positive environment
