Don’t be intimidated by the weight room! Learn the basics of weight room etiquette and equipment, including an overview of the cardiovascular and strength training machines.
This free 90-minute orientation is led by a Certified Personal Trainer, and designed to educate individuals on the basics of weight room etiquette and equipment. The session will include an overview of the cardiovascular and strength training machines. Youth that are 14 years of age will receive a wristband upon completion of the course. This will allow them to utilize the weight room without adult supervision, and must be worn at all times while exercising. Meet in the lobby prior to orientation.

Thursdays, June 3-24: 5-6 p.m.
Saturdays, June 5-26: 11 a.m.-noon
This four week course teaches teens how to work out in the weight room, using weights and proper form. They will learn weight progression, safe lifting and how to set up all of the weight room machines, along with proper warm up, cool down and stretching.
