Join us for this adventure camp, which includes day camp adventures plus an overnight adventure to Caddo Lake in East Texas. Adventures include caving at Whirlpool Cave, rock climbing at Reimers Ranch, white bass fishing, and kayaking in a cypress swamp on Caddo Lake. We will provide all of the technical gear including caving gear, rock climbing gear, kayaks, lifejackets, paddles, fishing poles, sleeping bags and more. We will also provide daily snacks, cabin lodging for the overnight, and breakfast on Friday. Please complete the Liability Waiver for your child on your account. Your child will need to bring a sack lunch and personal gear for the day trips, and money for 2 meals on the overnight (about $30).
Parents: Your child will have the opportunity to observe and practice good outdoor judgment and decision making skills. Please note the camp is physically and mentally demanding. Please assess your child’s ability and desire before signing them up. There will be a mandatory pre-trip meeting on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 7:00-8:00pm at the Parks Administration Building (1101 N College St.). We will discuss logistics and the youth will be fitted for technical gear.
