Visit Garey Park

Park Hours

Spring/Summer (April 1-Sept. 30) – 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Fall/Winter (Oct. 1-March 31) – 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Garey Park will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

No admittance within 30 minutes of posted closing time.
Hours may vary for special events.

Garey Park is located approximately 6.5 miles west of Interstate 35 on RM 2243 (Leander Rd.) and abuts the western-most edge of the City of Georgetown’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.

Entrance Fees

Entrance fees are based on residency. Resident rate applies to those who live inside the City Limits of Georgetown. Nonresident rate applies to those who live outside of the City Limits or in the ETJ. Please provide proof of residency (e.g. a driver’s license) upon entering the park to verify residency.

Daily Entrance Fee

Fees are collected at the Gate House during park hours. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.

Per person: $2 Resident/$4 Nonresident
Children ages 3 and under: Free

Visit us on half price Tuesdays! From Oct. 1-March 31, entrance to Garey Park will be half price on Tuesdays.

Buses

For groups of 16 or more, please notify park staff of intended visit at least two weeks in advance.

For groups of 16 or more coming to enjoy the Play Ranch area, a pavilion reservation is required.

Groups traveling in vehicles with capacities of 16 or more not using the Play Ranch area will pay $35 per bus, regardless of residency status.

Equestrian Riders

Enjoy 4.68 miles of equestrian trails with your horse. A current negative Coggins test must be presented at the Garey Park Gate House before entering the park.

Equestrian Rider: $6 Resident/$8 Nonresident

Annual Passes

Gary Park annual pass card

Annual passes provide unlimited entry into Garey Park during park hours for a pass holder and any guests who are riding in the same vehicle, for one year (valid through the date of purchase). Annual passes are non-transferable.

Annual passes can be purchased at the Gate House during park hours. To expediate your annual pass purchase, please complete the Annual Pass Account Form. A staff member will contact you within two business days of submission.

Garey Park Annual Pass Rates: $75 Resident/$125 Nonresident

You can purchase a second pass for an additional family member who lives in the same household for $20 Resident/$25 Nonresident.

Equestrian Rider Annual Pass

Garey Park Annual Pass holders who would like to bring their horse to the park can purchase an Equestrian Rider Annual Pass. Passes are non-transferable.

Equestrian Rider Pass Rates: $100 Resident/$150 Nonresident

You can purchase a second pass for an additional family member who lives in the same household for $30 Resident/$35 Nonresident.
