Balance and Stretch

Balance and Stretch fitness class at the Georgetown Recreation Center

Ages 12+

Balance the body with functional flexibility and stress relief. The calls will feature standing balance work followed by a gently total body stretch. Movements are easy to follow, safe and effective for ages 12 and older.

45 minutes of easy-to-follow, beginner-level movements for low intensity endurance. Postures will be taught for a better understanding of movement and alignment. Goals will work towards balance, strength and breathing work for an overall stress reducing experience.

This class will be held outside in the courtyard, weather permitting. If moved indoors, it will take place in the Multipurpose Room.

In this yoga practice we emphasize quality movement with intention, focus on the breath, and learn to listen to our bodies. Linking movement with breath and moving our bodies gently and purposefully to reduce stress, maintain and improve mobility and to benefit our bodies and our minds. Modifications to poses are always offered to make the practice truly your own. This class welcomes all fitness levels and all levels of yoga experience.

This is whole body workout, boot camp style using intervals of weight work and cardio combined for the best most effective way to work your body. All levels welcome, modifications will be given. This class has a Zoom option.

The Zumba┬« program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you’ve got a Zumba┬« class!
