The Georgetown Tennis Center is now open by reservation only. Drop-in play will not be accepted at this time.

Current hours
Monday-Thursday: 8:30 a.m.-8 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday: 1-6 p.m.

Facilities will be closed on public holidays. See 2020 holiday schedules.


Reservations
Players must make reservations by calling the Tennis Center at 512-931-2444.

Reservation time will be limited to 1.5 hours and a maximum of four people per court. Please leave the court promptly when your reservation time has expired.

Occupancy and Facility Access
Occupancy inside the building will be limited to 10 people, including staff. The front door is designated for entrance only. The back door is exit only.

Restrooms may be accessed from the outside, using the south side of the building by the pool.

Equipment
Players must bring their own equipment, including balls, racquets, and water. Rental equipment will not be available, and water will not be provided on the courts.

Facility Rules
Upon check-in, please use the hand sanitizer located just inside the front door. Proceed to the front desk using the social distancing markers on the floor if others are in front of you. Once you have checked in and paid, you may proceed to your assigned court. Please read the player safety guidelines prior to play.

Tennis Lessons – Beginning June 1, 2020
Beginning June 1, 2020, Georgetown Tennis Center will begin offering private and group lessons. Recommendation by USTA on Playing Tennis Safely have been considered for all instructor lead programs.

  1. All players must pre-register for lessons. Drop-ins will not be accepted at this time. You may register on-line, or by calling the Tennis Center at 512-931-2444. If you need to set up online account, please contact the Tennis Center for assistance.
  2. Class sizes will be limited to no more than 4 people per court, including the instructor.
  3. Physical distancing of six feet should be maintained by all players during the lesson, unless all players are in the same household.
  4. Players must bring their own equipment, including racquets and water.  Water is not provided on the court.
  5. Players must space out their belongings along the fence and maintain physical distancing during water breaks.
  6. Parents will not be allowed on the courts during youth lessons.
  7. Players will not be allowed to touch any of the coaching equipment, including tennis balls, the teaching cart, or ball hoppers. Players may use their racquets to roll balls out of the way. Instructors will pick up balls when needed through the lesson.
  8. Players will not be allowed to serve or feed balls during group lessons.
  9. For private lessons only, players may bring their own tennis balls for serving. Only the player owned tennis balls may be used for serving and at no time should these tennis balls be mixed in with the teaching balls.
  10. Instructors will following sanitation protocols including using hand sanitizer between lessons and disinfecting teaching equipment at the end of each day.

These protocols are in effect beginning June 1, 2020 and will remain in effect until further notice, or until Georgetown Tennis Center supervisory staff adopts new protocols in response to more current COVID-19 recommendations.  We ask that all participants in our programs follow these protocols for the health and safety of all individuals utilizing our facility during this time.


Pickleball – Beginning June 1, 2020
Georgetown Tennis Center now has pickleball lines on two of our tennis courts. Pickleball courts will be allowed by reservation only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 1-4 p.m.  Drop-ins will not be allowed at this time.

Reservations
Players must make reservations by calling the Tennis Center at 512-931-2444.

Occupancy and Facility Access
Reservation time will be limited to 1.5 hours and a maximum of four people per court. No more than four people may be part of the reservation.

Please leave the court promptly when your reservation time has expired. Do not re-enter the building after play.

Nets will be set up and taken down by staff only.

Players must bring their own equipment and water.

Please follow all facility rules and player safe guidelines mentioned above. If you are new to the facility, you will be required to fill out a facility waiver to assist with creating your account.  In order to expedite your check in, we ask that you fill out the waiver ahead of time and bring with you to the facility.


Acquired in the summer of 1999 from Berry Creek Country Club, the Parks and Recreation Department operates a year-round Tennis Center that is open to all citizens. The Georgetown Tennis Center is a registered TIA Tennis Welcome Center and a U.S.T.A. 10 & Under Approved Facility.

The Georgetown Tennis Center offers memberships, however membership is not required to use the Tennis Center. Without a valid membership, court fees are $2 per person, per hour.
