Attain realistic fitness goals with the guidance of a personal trainer. It’s easy to get started!

  • Choose a Personal Trainer from the list below, and contact him/her to set up your initial visit.
  • Fees are set by each trainer. Inquire when you call to set up your appointment(s). Fees are dependent upon residency.
  • Purchase your session(s) at the front desk at the time of your first visit.
  • Recreation Center membership is not required for personal training sessions.
  • Packages expire 6 months from date purchased.

Steve Bauer

Steve’s fitness journey started back in 1996 when he was 60 pounds overweight and could no longer fit into his clothes. At that time, he met with a trainer who gave him a plan to lose weight and eat healthy. He lost 50 pounds and developed a love for fitness. Steve specializes in personal training, strength and conditioning, weight loss, and muscle and cardio endurance with an emphasis on building overall body strength, mobility, balance, flexibility, and range of motion. He works with all fitness levels.

Karin holds a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science, is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer with 20+ years experience, as well as a certified yoga instructor, indoor cycling instructor, and a sports conditioning specialist. Karin’s passion is not only making fitness fun and accessible for everyone’s lifestyle, but also sharing her knowledge, experiences, and tips/tricks to educate her clients on proper form, technique, and exercise programming. She believes in training smarter and harder with effective programs for maximum results. To achieve your goals, you must push past your comfort zone. Fuel your inner athlete; fuel your life.

After having twins, Leesa tried being a stay-at-home mom. She looked to a local gym for sanity and soon after became an instructor. She became an ACE certified personal trainer, and eight years later, she still loves every minute of it. She loves motivating people to improve themselves through exercise. Not all people have the same goals or needs from exercise, but it is so rewarding for people to succeed at any level or age.

Laura is a Certified Personal Trainer through IFA (International Fitness Association). She is also a Mad Dogg and Fitour certified spin instructor and has taught cycling classes at the Georgetown Recreation Center for many years. She believes keeping active and finding something healthy that you are passionate about is the key to wellness and happiness. She states, “Whether you are training for a race or just enjoying the human race, your proper nutrition, cardio exercise, and strength training is key.”

Josh Turner is a certified personal trainer and co- founder of Turn Fit Academy.

Josh is a certified personal trainer and co- founder of Turn Fit Academy, as well as a former University of Texas student athlete. He has developed a holistic approach to health & wellness through fitness, working  with all ages and fitness levels. “I want you to look good and strive to feel even better.” In addition to personal fitness training, Josh leads adult boot camp classes, coaches youth track & field courses, and offers athletic training for Georgetown Parks and Recreation.

In 2014 Joe weighed 245 lbs. and had 40% body fat, high blood pressure and a cholesterol problem. He tried to get healthier and fitter, but it just wasn’t working; he needed help and some education. At UT Austin he received that education as well as hands-on training. Applying everything he learned about fitness and nutrition, he became so much healthier: Joe lost 70 lbs, lowered his cholesterol, reduced his body fat and dropped his blood pressure to normal levels. Now a certified fitness trainer (NCSF and  W.I.T.S.), Joe believes in hard work, determination and setting goals. “Come to me with your fitness goals and get ready to work!”
