Georgetown Parks & Recreation

Program Cancellation and Withdrawal Policy

Department Cancellations:
Recreation programs must meet minimum participant requirements prior to start date of the course, typically 3 or 7 days. Courses not meeting minimum requirements will be canceled. Full refunds will be issued for departmental cancellations.

Aquatics Programs:
Full refunds / transfers will only be given if notice is received 7 or more days prior to the start of an Aquatic program. No refund / transfer will be given with less than 7 days’ notice. Because of staffing requirements, fees will not be prorated for partial attendance.
For safety reasons, inclement weather may result in lessons / classes being cancelled for the day. While a single weather-related cancellation will not be made up, a second cancellation due to bad weather may be made up by adding the lost time to remaining classes (depending on program.) The City of Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department will make all lesson / class cancellations due to inclement weather with the safety of our participants in mind and cancellations will be made 30 minutes prior to class whenever possible.

Fitness Programs:
Full refunds will only be given if notice is received 24 hours prior to the start of the program. No refunds will be given for no-shows, missed classes, or if notice occurs less than 24 hours prior to the start of the program.

Enrichment Programs:
Full refunds will only be given if notice is received 3 or more days prior to the start of program. If notice is received less than 3 days prior to the start of the program, a partial refund may be issued based on any classes attended, plus a 20% withdrawal fee will be held. No refunds will be given for no-shows or missed classes.

Youth Athletic Leagues:
