COVID-19 UPDATE: All City of Georgetown Parks and Recreation programs, activities and events are canceled until May 11. 

The splash pads will not open on April 1 as previously scheduled.

The playground at San Jose Park will be closed March 30-April 5 for resurfacing.

Splash Pad Hours
Daily, April 1 through Sept. 30: 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.

The 1,656 square-foot water play area has 15 spray features, including a spray archway called a Super Soaker, a shower tunnel that sprays water in an archway from the ground, a T-shaped pole that spins and sprays called a Storm Spinner, popcorn jets that shoot water from the ground, and a post that sprays water in a bell shape. The play area has a shade awning on one side.

The splash pad will use recirculated water that is filtered, chlorinated, and stored in a tank below the surface. Parks staff will check chlorine levels daily. A motion sensor activates the spray features to run for several minutes before turning off automatically.

San Jose Park Pavilion Rentals

Capacity: 32
Half-day: $50 R/$65 NR
Full-day: $75 R/$95 NR

The San Jose Park Pavilion is accessible and has grills and access to restrooms.

Fees vary depending on the length of the reservation and the address of the renter.

  • Half-day is 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Full-day is 8:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.
  • Resident (R) lives within the Georgetown City Limits. Nonresident (NR) lives outside the City Limits, in the extra-territorial jurisdiction or another city.

Events require a permit for noise, signs, road closures, parking, etc.
