Adult Tennis Programs

Pre-registration is required for all lessons. Drop-ins will not be accepted. Class sizes are limited. Early registration is recommended.

Georgetown Parks and Recreation is committed to offering year-round tennis programs for adults to enjoy. Adult programs are suitable for tennis lovers of all ranges and abilities, from beginners just learning fundamentals, to clinics focusing on situational play, positioning strategy, and court awareness.

Adult Beginner

Adult Beginner Tennis

Ages 18+
$10 Resident/$15 Nonresident (daily rate)
Saturdays, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Mondays, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

NTRP Rating 2.0-2.5

This clinic is for adults who are still new to the game. Class will focus on fundamental strokes utilizing repetitive drills to enforce muscle memory, good technique and consistency.

Pre-registration is required.

Adult Intermediate

Adult Intermediate Tennis

Ages 18+
$15 Resident/$20 Nonresident (daily rate)
Saturdays, 10-11:30 a.m.

NTRP Rating 3.0-3.5

This class will focus on progressive development of ground strokes with an emphasis on accuracy and control and the development of more power and top spin. Specialty shots, serve, and match play will also be included.

Adult Tennis Stroke Clinic

Adult Tennis Stroke Clinic

Ages 18+
$10 Resident/$15 Nonresident (daily rate)
Thursdays, 7-8 p.m.

NTRP Rating 3.5 and up

This class will focus on stroke production, strategy and specialty shots through a variety of fast-moving games and drills.
