Garey Park Pavilions

Garey Park offers 5 covered pavilions that surround the Play Ranch. All pavilions are accessible and have electricity.

Pavilion Rental Procedures

  1. Submit the online Rental Request Form.
    • Please Note: A submitted rental request form does not guarantee approval of the request. Requests are approved based on availability and are processed in the order they are received. Applicants will be contacted within 2 business days of submitting a request form. Reservations must be made 2 weeks in advance of the requested date. Fees include entrance into the park for all parties with the group, up to the pavilion capacity.

  2. Payment is due in full at the time of reservation.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

  • Renter Cancellation. Rentals must be canceled at least two (2) weeks prior to reservation date to receive a full refund. Rentals canceled within two (2) weeks of the reservation date will be charged a 20% administrative fee.
  • Inclement Weather. In the event of inclement weather, a full refund will be given if the renter is unable to utilize at least two (2) hours of their reserved time.
  • Department Cancellation. In the event of inclement weather or department cancellation, a full refund will be given.
  • If original payment was received in the form of credit card, the refund will be processed to the same valid credit card. All other refunds will be processed in the form of a check from the City of Georgetown. Allow two weeks for processing.
  • Renter must contact Garey Park within one (1) week of reservation date to be eligible for a refund.

General Policies for Use

In addition to the Garey Park Rules, renters must adhere to the following policies:

  • Full payment is due at time of reservation.
  • Rental requests may be made no more than one year in advance.
  • The Play Ranch area is open to the public and not available for exclusive use.
  • Groups of 16 or more must reserve a pavilion if using the Play Ranch.
  • All parties must exit the park prior to the posted closing time.
  • The rental fee includes entry into Garey Park for all guests, up to the capacity of the pavilion. Guests must provide the name of the party group in order to gain entry into the park without charge.
  • Anticipated attendance should not exceed the pavilion capacity. If attendance exceeds the maximum capacity, the renter will be charged $2 for each additional person. Children ages 3 and under are free. If you do anticipate more than 10 persons over capacity, we recommend you rent a larger pavilion.
  • No single group may exceed 200 persons per reservation day.
  • Portable grills are prohibited. Park grills are on site, but may not be used during a burn ban.
  • Glass beverage bottles, piñatas, confetti, sidewalk chalk, silly string, bounce houses, pop-up tents and water balloons are prohibited.
  • The time frame of your rental includes all setup and clean up time; no additional time is allotted for these activities.
  • No decorations that will cause damage to the pavilion and/or surrounding area. All decorations must be removed and the area restored to its original state by the end of your reserved time.
  • Renters are responsible for all setup, tear down and clean up. All trash must be disposed of properly.
  • Do not drive or park on the grass for any reason, including loading/unloading vehicles.
  • Individuals and organizations reserving facilities are responsible for all damages to the facility and/or equipment that occurs as a result of the reservation. Failure to pay fees for damaged property will result in the loss of future reservation privileges and/or future admittance into the park.
  • Renters are responsible to inform their guests/event attendees of all Garey Park Rules and regulations.
  • Individuals and organizations reserving facilities must comply with all Garey Park Rules. Failure to comply may result in denial of any subsequent use of facilities.
  • The Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to terminate a reservation during the activity if conditions so warrant.
  • Use of the rented area does not in any way imply that Garey Park or the City of Georgetown endorses, encourages, or approves the purpose of the user.

Parks Event Permits

Events held in Garey Park may require a Parks Event Permit. Some gatherings and organized activities may place unique demands on public resources or pose a potential danger to public health, safety and welfare. In order to plan for these demands and ensure safety, it is necessary that the City of Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department receives 30 days advance notice of these events.

Spring/Summer (April 1, 2019-Sept. 30, 2019)

Fall/Winter (Oct. 1, 2019-March 31, 2020)

Full-day rentals are from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

The Triple Crown pavilion can be rented as a whole, or split into thirds (sections A, B and C).
