Aquatics FAQ

Inclement Weather Policy

All our pools close for 30 minutes every time staff see lightning or hear thunder. When this occurs, everyone will be asked to get out of the water immediately, and the 30-minute countdown will start over each time lightning strikes or thunder is heard.

Inclement weather may result in lessons/classes being cancelled for the day. A missed lesson or class due to bad weather will not be made up. This is due to instructor availability and limited pool space.

The safety of our participants is our first priority. Aquatics staff will make all lesson cancellations due to inclement weather 30 minutes prior to class time.

Transfer/Refund Policy

Payment for each course is due at time of registration. Refunds/transfers will only be given if notice is received 7 or more days prior to the start of an Aquatic course. Because of staffing requirements, fees will not be prorated for partial attendance.

Complete refunds will be given for departmental cancellations.

Wait Lists

Due to instructor/participant ratios, each class and program will have a maximum number of spots available.  Once the class maximum has been reached, clients will be notified that the class is full and will have the option to be placed on a wait list.  Should spots become available, program openings will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis from registrants that appear on the wait list.

There is no charge to be placed on a wait list; payment is due when a space becomes available and is accepted by the client.
